Alternative Cut Productions is a video production company founded in 2008 and based in Chicago.
It is the brainchild of Micheal Shaw, an independent filmmaker with a wide range of experiences including features, documentaries, commercials, music videos, and promotional videos. As a company, we have clients that range from publishing houses, marketing companies, small business owners and entrepreneurs. This diverse client base has developed Alternative Cut into a production company adept at handling a variety of video production styles that meet each clients’
needs and specific tastes.  

We collaborate with a team of creative professionals both locally and nationwide, to provide services that can include video production, event coverage, post-production, encoding for the web, DVD encoding,
DVD authoring, motion graphics and graphic design.  

Alternative Cut uses Panasonic HVX 200 cameras for it’s video production, and Final Cut Studio, Avid, and Adobe Creative Suite for it’s post-production.
